Hiking Supplies began in 2026 with a frustrating realization: most outdoor retailers sell you the brand, not the trail. We wanted a different shelf — one stocked by hikers who'd actually slept under a tent in a thunderstorm and could tell you, honestly, which one held up.

Today, every piece of gear we list has been tested by our six-person trail crew. If it doesn't survive a month of real abuse, it doesn't earn a listing. If it does, we bundle it with the rest of the kit so you don't have to play matchmaker.
